Financial Overview
Below is a breakdown of Coalition for Kids' Revenues and Expenses from fiscal year 2005-2006.

According to the American Institute of Philanthropy's Chairty Rating Guide, in most cases 60% or more of your charitable donation should go to program services. Less than 40% should be spent on general administration and fundraising costs. Coalition for Kids uses funds from grants and donations as efficiently as possible to provide a higher level of service to children and families in Josephine County.

Unlike the private sector where the price of a service is set to cover all costs, nonprofit agencies rarely meet all their costs based upon fees. Instead, nonprofits must engage in fundraising and seek additional revenue sources. Coalition for Kids relies on your generosity and support in order to sustain and expand its programs and outreach services to children and families in the community.
